Behavior “Delete Product” button and “Line Close” button on iVend Purchase Order

Behavior “Delete Product” button and “Line Close” button on iVend Purchase Order

Scenario First

Add Purchase Order in SAP B1 with 5 Line Items.

Doc Number: 1261

After integrating the Purchase Order (PO) in iVend, we used the Delete Product” button on the PO to remove two products: A00003 and A00004.

After using the Delete Product button, we observed that the product line remained available in the Purchase Order (PO) in SAP B1 but the Unit Price was removed. Please refer to the SAP B1 image above for reference

Scenario Second

Add Purchase Order in SAP B1 with 5 Line Items.

Doc Number: 1262

After integrating the Purchase Order (PO) in iVend, we used the Close Line” button on the PO to remove two products one by one: C00004 & C00005

NOTE: When we click on the Close Line button, the line is not removed, the status of the line is closed.

After using the Line Close button, the product line remained available in the Purchase Order (PO) in iVend with a status of "CLOSED." Additionally, the line status was also marked as "closed" in SAP B1; however, the Unit Price was not removed, check above SAP B1 Image in Doc Num 1262.

NOTE:

If you would like to create a partial Purchase Order for document number 1262, it can now be processed without any issues. You may also replicate this scenario in your test environment if needed.

Summary:

Impact of the Delete Product Button:

When you click the Delete Product button on the Purchase Order screen in iVend, the product line will be removed from iVend but not from SAP. In SAP, the line status will be marked as "Closed," and the unit price will be removed.

Impact of the Close Line Button:

When using the Close Line button on the Purchase Order screen in iVend, the product line remains in iVend with a status of "Closed." In SAP, the line status will also be updated to "Closed," and the unit price will still be displayed.
