"Wrong executable digital signature for Add-on" while connecting iVend Addon



Scenario

Customer had one SAP Server(Enterprise) and 21 SAP clients. Over the session, we removed the problematic iVend Add-on(Version 6.6) and installed the latest iVend Add-on(Version 6.6) at his SAP Server(Enterprise) and the Add-on connected successfully there, and it also installed successfully at one of his SAP client machines but while connecting the addon at his client machine an error was appearing "Wrong executable digital signature for Add-on ".


Solution No- 1

Go to the below path and look for the file "AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo", take the backup of this file, and open this file in Notepad.


"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One" if you're running the 32 bits client

"C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One" if you're running the 64 bits client


Note: Customers might be using more than one Add-on. So, first, we need to arrange the tags in the manner shown in the following image 


 


Delete the highlighted portion ( below) from the tag and save the file. And try to connect the Add-on.



Solution No-2 

This step MUST be discussed with the Integration DEV team  and need to perform only on their approval

  • Uninstall the existing iVend Add-on from the SAP Server machine.

  • Open addon.ard file in notepad and change the version from 6.6.0.0 to 6.6.0.2 and reinstall the addon at the server.
