Understanding Inventory Showing in the INTRANSIT Warehouse in iVend Retail

Overview

The INTRANSIT Warehouse in iVend Retail is a system-managed warehouse used during stock transfers between locations.

When a stock transfer is initiated:

  1. Inventory is deducted from the source warehouse

  2. Inventory temporarily moves to the INTRANSIT warehouse

  3. Inventory is updated in the destination warehouse once the transfer is received


Why Inventory Remains in INTRANSIT

Inventory may remain in the INTRANSIT warehouse if the stock transfer receipt process is not completed.

Common reasons:

  • Pending stock transfers

  • Delayed receipt at destination store

  • Interrupted or cancelled transfer process

  • Pending inventory operations


Common Symptoms

  • Inventory visible in INTRANSIT warehouse

  • Negative quantity at source warehouse

  • Missing stock at destination warehouse

  • Inventory mismatch between stores and HO
