POS Inventory view is taking long time

POS Inventory view is taking long time

Problem Statement: 

Inventory view on POS  is taking long time to Open


Proposed solution/Workaround: 

Whenever Slowness and performance related issue is reported please perform the steps below: 


Run Below SQL Query to check Database Version

SELECT @@VERSION


In result check if SQL Server Version is Express Edition follow below steps.


Right Click on Database and Open Database properties


Check Database Size.


 

In SQL Server Express Edition database size limit is 10 GB (1250 MB). 


The database will perform slow if the database size is near 10 GB and will stop accepting data if the database size reaches to 10 GB.


In the above case Data Purging needs to schedule for store and store should be reinitialized.
