Kindly follow the below steps for creating a link server.
1. Open the Sql Server and login with id and password.
2.Open the server object options.
3.Right Click on Linked Servers option
4.Click on New Linked Server option
5.Select the sql server option and enter the linked server IP Address.
6. Click on security option
7. Select option be made using this security context option and enter the remote login with password and click on ok.
