ERROR, DOES NOT SHOW HARDWARE LIST IN POINT OF SALE

Problem Description

When we want to install the printer it does not appear in the hardware list in the point of sale system.

Environment

iVend 6.6 Patch 7915

Scenario

After installation of printer at POS the printer does not appear in the hardware list at point of sale system.

 Solution

1.Stop iVend Hardware Service.


2. Copy below two files from running POS to HardwareService folder of problematic POS

iVendHardwareService.exe.
iVendHardwareService.exe.config.

3. Start Hardware Service.

4. Copy below two files to PointOfSale folder (Transferred from CXS end).

CXS.Hardware.OPOS.Service.Proxy.DLL.
CXSRetailPOS.exe.config.

We reinstall the printer driver and restart system and found issue got resolved.

 Resolution/Work Around

We have proceed with above steps mentioned in the solution and after that we reinstall the printer driver and restart system and hence the printer installed successfully and appearing in the hardware list at point of Sale.
