What is the purpose of the Custom Number Series for API type of POS

Query:

I see the option to create a API type POS but what is the purpose of the Custom Number Series for this type of POS?

Resolution/Work Around:

This is in similar line of creating the custom series at store/HO where the series definition is used for the creation of Products, Customers, and Vendors.
These settings are used to generate automatic codes for Products, Customers, and Vendors.
So you can define the available options for custom series at POS accordingly.
Generally API POS is used when iVend is integrated with any E-Commerce Website where Order is received at ECommerce side and delivered using iVend POS . So you may create one API POS and check the behavior. Such POS  may be used for different type of transactions with E-Commerce.
