Transaction Server Search error in iVend POS OFFLINE


Problem statement

Transaction Server Search show error in iVend POS OFFLINE.

Error Message - An error has been encountered during the search function.


Product version

iVend 6.6 with SAP B1 Version 9.2

 

Proposed Solution


Logfile was checked but the error did not register on the log file. It was found that the "Server Address" field was left blank in API Server settings under store configuration. So full IP address along with the port number on the store must be entered for the "Server Address" field. To find IP address run the IIS(Internet Information Service) manager > select the local server > sites > Default web site > iVend API and browse to obtain the IP address. After restarting the offline POS. The user was able to do the transaction search successfully.
