Store re-intialization Step
Product version:
6.5 Update 6 or 6.6
Problem statement:
User want to re-intialize the store.
Proposed solution:
Suggested customer to re-initalize Store by creating Store backup file from iVend Enterprise MC screen only when replication is cleared between Store and iVend Enterprise and vic versa and consider the transaction cut of date.
Steps if any:
Below are the steps of store- re-initialization .
- Uninstall iVend from Control Panel on Store Machine.
- Clear temp files.
- Run the same ivend version installer (Setup.exe) which you are using in Enterprise Machine, and make it store.
- Go To iVend Enterprise Machine Login in Management Console.
- Take a backup for the same store from iVend enterprise management console, steps are below
- Administration >>> IT Administration >>> Click on Database Backup, Select the Cut Off Date, Select Store.
- Transaction Cutoff Date :- Enter the date after which the transactions will be restored at the selected store.
- System will give you the prompt to save the file, just provide the same and save your file.
- Now copy this backup file on Store Machine.
- Open iVend configuration manager click on Restore Backup, and provide local system SQL credentials.
- Click on Lookup/browse button and then select your backup file then click on Connect and restore.
- Open replication service and enter Enterprise credentials and this system Local credentials. Click on Update and start service.
Constraints / scenarios:
It is suggested to copy the iVend 6.6 same patch files on Stores/POS which is available on iVend Enterprise and before starting the stores operations, needs to ensure that stores/POS files are similar to Enterprise or not . In case , it is not or requires any assistance, contact the iVend support team.
NOTE: Make sure you have entered the correct SiteID for the store in Replication service at the same
