Steps to add item image\Company logo on the item label.

Purpose:

This article provides the basic steps for adding the item image\Company logo on the item label with the help of the Thermal Label setup. This feature enables the user to design labels for printing on EPL, ZPL based printers. This label appears in the format list with other formats in the Item Label Printing feature.

Steps:

 Follow the below steps to design the item label.

  1. Open Management Console.

  2. Go to Reports>>Designer / Label>>Create Label Report>>New.

  3. Then you will come across Thermal Label Setup Screen and available tools for designing label are named in below screenshot:

                 

 

  1. Click on ImageItem (This tool is used to show the image from a file stored on disk.) from the toolbar and place it on the Canvas. 

                                  

  1. Locate option SourceFile in the property window and enter the complete image path along with the extension name here

     Note: - Image can be shown from a file stored on disk only.

  1. You can use TextItem from the toolbar to add product details like Price, Description … etc. on the item label.

  2. Click on TextItem from the toolbar and place it on Canvas.

  3. Now select the Textitem and locate DataField in the Property window.

  4. DataField has different values listed in the drop-down list. e.g. Price, UPCCode, Weight, Product Description …etc. You can select the desired value here.

Note: - DataField property is supported with TextItem, BarcodeItem only. 


  1. Press OK to save the Thermal Label Setup.

  2. Once the Record is saved it would be available in the Format selection list for the Item Label Printing.

  3. Go to Reports > Designer/Label > Item Label Printing to check this. From here it can be used in Label Printing.
