Restrict or unrestricted to sale of any item on POS by SAP1

Introduction

This article will demonstrate one of the configurations of Product in SAP B1, where is one setting “Not saleable on POS” and it will show the impact of this setting.


Case Study:

The below example is a case study, where one product has been created into SAP B1 as per the below Configuration. After that, it has successfully integrated into Ivend.it displays on HO, however, it is not displaying on POS during the sale and giving error “Item is not saleable:A00002”.


Note: If you Want to restrict to sale of any specific item on POS, you can use the above setting, where we can check the setting of “Not Saleable on POS” in SAP B1 and uncheck the setting of “saleable” in iVend using with plugged case. In Unplugged, you can uncheck the setting of “saleable” in iVend only.

Note: As per the above Screen, if we checked the setting “Not Saleable on POS”, It will auto integrate into iVend and marked as unchecked of setting “saleable”.

Impact/Cause:

In SAP B1, If the setting of “Not Saleable on POS” has checked and in iVend the setting of” saleable” saleable that item will not allow to sale on POS and will through below error.




Note: If you have accidentally marked as “Not Saleable on POS” in SAP B1 and you are unable to sell this product on POS, then follow the below steps.


Step 1.Open the SAP B1 and open the item master data by below navigations

SAP > Modules > inventory > item master data


Step 2.Then do ctrl+F and find the items which is not allowing to sale as per the below Screenshot and unchecked the setting of “Not Saleable on POS” and save changes.



Step 3: Go in iVend and check the product setting, where the setting of “Saleable” should auto mark as checked as per the below Screen.



Step 4. After that Go on POS and try to sell that product which is not allowed to sell on POS, it will be allowed to sell.



Summary:

Through the setting of “Not Saleable on POS” in SAP B1, we can directly restrict to unrestricted to sale of any item on POS.
