Replication service Start error on Offline POS
Environment:
iVend 6.6
Problem Statement:
While starting replication service from Services in offline POS, the below error is coming.
Symptoms:
Changes done in iVendReplicationWinService.exe.config file on below path
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Compare the replication files with other working Offline POS.
2. We checked the hub URL by running in the browser given in iVendReplicationWinService.exe.config file at the below path.
C:\Program Files (x86)\CitiXsys\iVend Retail\iVendReplicationWinService
3. We then compared the iVendReplicationWinService.exe.config file with the working Offline POS and found the difference.
4. In the file, before <?xml, extra bracket ' [ ' was there on problematic offline POS as shown in the image below.
5. After removing it, we saved the file and restarted the Replication service, which worked.
