Problem Statement

Customers are facing performance issues on POS while scanning products.

Proposed Solution/Workaround 

We have checked our code and to confirm we have found promotions are getting executed in the background and i.e. the reason customers are facing slowness while scanning at the POS counter. Please note customer is using dated ver. of iVend 6.5 Update 5.Even product ver. 6.5 Update 6 is having end of life support till August 2020.

We recommend using the Special Price List and plan for upgrading to iVend ver. 6.6 On Premises or iVend Cloud (recommended), these versions are having updated Promotions Logic and can utilize Microsoft Windows system better as they are 64 bit applications.Suggest to upgrade 6.6.
