2. In this transaction, they have purchased a large number of items with a total value for the transaction exceeding $3,400
a. The Loyalty Program and Plan that they are a member of sets that on every transaction and for every $100 spent, the customer is awarded 10 points.
b. The Loyalty Levels that are used with the Loyalty Program stipulates that at least a minimum of 300 points are required to reach the Gold Level status.

3. Once the transaction has been completed by processing the payment, the Loyalty program will calculate the points to be rewarded to the customer and will also calculate the new Loyalty Level for the customer.
4. When we search for and recall the customer at the POS to view their updated status in the Customer Information Panel, we can see that they have been upgraded to Gold status and the points awarded available to them is now showing as 340.

Loyalty Customer C0083 (Gold Status with 340 Available Points before Redemption)
1. We will use our new Loyalty Customer C0083. Their current Loyalty Level has recently been upgraded to Gold status and they have 340 Available Loyalty Points that they can redeem.
2. In the following transaction they will purchase an item worth $80 and they wish to use their Loyalty points to complete their purchase and pay for the item.
a. The Loyalty Program, Plan and Level that they are a member of has converted their available points to currency units in excess of $150, therefore they will have sufficient points and currency to pay for the item.
b. The value of Loyalty Currency that the customer is using to pay for the purchase in this scenario equates to 160 points to cover the $80 item.
c. When the customer redeems their points using the converted available currency, it will result in their available points dropping from 340 to 180 points, therefore we would expect that the system will recalculate the customer’s loyalty status – the re-evaluation will be as follows:
i. The Loyalty Levels structure in the program being used, stipulates that the Copper status requires points of at least 100 but less than 200 points.
ii. The Silver status requires at least 200 points but less than 300.
iii. The Gold status requires at least 300 points.
iv. The customer will not have enough Available Loyalty Points to retain Gold status, nor will they be able to reach Silver status. We expect that their new evaluated status will be Copper and their remaining available points will be 180.

3. Once the transaction is completed by processing the payment with the Loyalty Redemption, we see that the Loyalty program has re-evaluated the Loyalty status and down-graded the customer to the Copper level and the Available Points has also been reduced to 180.
Note: Before the cashier can use Loyalty Points at the POS for redemption, a Payment Tender of the type Loyalty must first be created and added to the list of available Tender types that can be used at the POS for the store.
Log into the iVend Management Console and navigate to: Administration > Financial > Payment Type – the Payment Type Search screen comes up.
