License Allocation Issues Caused by Inactive Users in iVend

Environment:

iVend 6.6

Problem Statement:

Certain users who no longer exist in the Security Users list are still occupying active licenses, preventing the assignment of licenses to new users. Attempts to deactivate or remove these users have been unsuccessful, as they continue to appear as license holders despite being absent from the user management search. Assistance is needed to identify and remove these ghost users to free up licenses. 

Response:

Here are the steps to remove security users occupying active licenses:

  1. Open the HO Management Console and navigate to Administration → Human Resources → Employee.

  2. Select the relevant Employee and click Edit, then set the status to Active.

  1. Verify the employee name as per the license information.

  1. Once the employee is active, they will appear in Security Users.

  2. Open Security Users and deselect "Is Management Console User" and "Has License" to free up the license.
