iVend SQL Objects Backup Or Temp Objects for Analysis

Environment: 

Any iVend Version

 

Problem Statement: 

There may be a requirement to create some temporary SQL Objects ( Procedures, Tables etc) or  backup of iVend SQL Objects for analyzing the issue.

 

Recommendations /Suggestion: 

1) It is recommended to create another temporary database and all temporary Objects should be created in this database , not iVend database. Else it may increase the database size & it may impact the iVend functionality .

 

2) If it is required to create temp Objects or backup of iVend database Objects , don't use   SQL Object's names , similar to iVend base tables such as 

 

i) TrxTransaction_backup

or

ii) Backup_TrxTrasnsaction
