The following article illustrates how “In Stock”, “On Fulfillment (Committed)” and the “Available” quantity is impacted in iVend when performing different types of transactions at the iVend POS.
The below list represents the conventions that will be used throughout this article:
· The inventory item name used for testing is “Demo__Part”
· On every page, the first screen shot shows the inventory status in iVend (i.e. The Inventory View)
· Inventory changes/updates are in the Retail Warehouse (Whse07)
· Sales Fulfillment = A fulfillment plan with an inventory allocation method of SALE
· Delivery Fulfillment = A fulfillment plan with an inventory allocation method of DELIVERY
The below screen image shows the status of inventory in Whse07 for inventory item “Demo__Part” in iVend before any transactions are processed.
Creation phase
After performing a sales transaction with a quantity of one (1) at the POS with a “SALE” type fulfillment plan attached to the transaction, the status of the inventory will be as follows:
In iVend:
i. In Stock Quantity reduces by 1
ii. Available Quantity reduces by 1
iii. On Fulfillment Quantity (Committed) increases by 1
Delivery phase
Upon performing the delivery against the Sale created above, the impact to inventory is as follows:
In iVend:
i. In Stock Quantity remains unchanged
ii. Available Quantity remains unchanged
iii. On Fulfillment Quantity (Committed) reduces by 1
Creation phase
After performing a sales transaction with a quantity of one (1) at the POS with a “DELIVERY” type fulfillment plan attached to the transaction, the status of inventory will be as follows:
In iVend:
i. In Stock Quantity remains unchanged
ii. Available Quantity is reduced by 1
iii. On Fulfillment Quantity (Committed) increases by 1
Delivery phase
Upon performing the delivery against the Sale created above, the impact to inventory will be as follows:
In iVend:

ii. Available Quantity remains unchanged

iii. On Fulfillment Quantity (Committed) increases by 1

4. Layaway (Layby) with “DELIVERY” type Fulfillment plan
