This article will demonstrate one of the configurations of Product which may lead to showing unexpected Total value of Product at POS terminal.

 Case Study :

The below example is a case study where the price defined in SAP was 98. The same price was appearing at the POS terminal, however, the TOAL value at the bottom was not coming as expected value, only tax value was coming.

Note:   No discount was given but still, the Total value was showing 5.55.

Now when the item was scanned at POS it shows below results.

Cause: This issue here was due to configuration of IsTaxOnly column in the table InvProduct for the selected product. This value was set True for the concened product.

Because of this setting, the item was considered as tax only item and thus only the tax calculation of the product was considered in the Total section.

TAX Calculation: The price of the product was 92.45, and after applying configured tax value ( which was 6 % in this case), tax comes out to be 5.55.

Resolution: The System is showing the correct value as per the configuration above.

Workaround: In this case study it was found that the configuration of (IsTaxOnly) was wrongly applied and needed to be revoked for correct price at POS Total value. However, this (IsTaxOnly) value is set from the SAP side for the particular product and can not be updated from UI in iVend. So as a workaround, this configuration was needed to be updated for Product Master Data using the DB script with help of the support Team.
