Integration not working from iVend to X3 and stock transfer also not moving from X3 to iVend.

Environment: 

iVend 6.6 and Sage X3


Problem Statement: 

Customer has informed me that Integration is not working from iVend to X3 and stock transfer is also not moving from X3 to iVend. We have configured and set up the Integration configuration of the Integrator between X3 and IVend. Rechecked and restarted all the services and configurations but the integration of transactions from IVend to X3 and X3 to iVend are not going through.



Symptoms:

Resolution/Work Around: 

We have found one of the connector configuration files was empty due to which the integration was not happening, then we have copied the respective file from their Production environment and placed it in their Test environment. Now we have restarted the integration service and transactions were integrating between X3 to IVend and vice versa.


Key Points:

There are certain initialization files for connector, where in certain integration touch points are defined like what Masters (Customer, supplier, Product, Tax Codes, Customer/supplier category, currency, companies, currency rates) from Sage X3 to iVend and this will contain when was the data last integrated to iVend from Sage X3 and files are frequently updated by the connector, which sometimes get emptied especially when a connector is stopped while it is updating this specific file 'Retailinitialization.xml'.


So, while troubleshooting we found this file got emptied we then copied this data from previous backup and started the connector, which then started the integration. This copy is not stored by itself, this is copied manually on the 'Config' folder of the connector.
