When a customer places an order in Magento the information flow from Magento to iVend for backend operations and from iVend to Magento for payment and delivery of the goods works seamlessly.
The Transaction information is a two-way information flow:
Transaction Integration from Magento to iVend
Transaction Integration from iVend to Magento
When an Order is created in Magento, the detailed information of the customer with the order information is sent from Magento to iVend. Order from Magento integrates as special order in iVend. The information of the product ordered with its attributes is sent to iVend for backend operations. A Picker is assigned to pick the products from the warehouse and then a packet is created in iVend for the delivery.
The Delivery information from iVend is sent back to Magento as Shipment and Invoice. Shipment information contains the address to which the packet is to be delivered and Invoice is displayed as Invoice information for the order placed.
If a refund is requested by the customer due to any reason, a refund request is sent from Magento to iVend. The Refund is processed in iVend and a credit memo is generated and issued in Magento to the customer for the purchase returns.
If an order is Canceled in Magento, it is reflected as Order Cancellation in iVend. The cancellation of the order is executed and refund is initiated in iVend.
The refund information is then displayed in Magento against the canceled order.
Some of the examples of integrated transactions in iVend Retail are given below:
If a Delivery transaction is performed in iVend Retail, the same would reflect under invoice and shipment against that order in Magento.
If a Refund transaction is performed in iVend Retail, it will reflect as Credit Memo in Magento, for the purchase returned by the customer.
If an Order Cancellation is performed in iVend Retail, it will reflect as Order Cancellation in Magento.
The customer logs in to Magento and selects the product to add in the cart. Once the product is added to the cart, the customer places an order. The Order information from Magento flows seamlessly to iVend Retail and the order is processed in iVend Retail Management Console. The assigned picker uses the iVend Handheld and picks the products from the warehouse. Product Pick list guides the picker to pick the products for customers. Once the products are picked, a package is created. Using m-POS the product package is delivered to the customer at the curbside designated by the customer. Once the package is delivered and customer verification is taken on m-POS, the order status is updated on Magento website as well as in iVend Retail.
