This knowledge base article will assist you in resolving the Timeout Expired error, which is a common error that occurs in .IRT extension type reports (iVend Retail Report Designer reports). Going through this article, you will learn about the error overview, the reason for the error and the solution to resolve the error.
The iVend Database and SQL Database remain connected and the reports synchronise automatically. There are a few common errors that are observed when the connection string doesn’t refresh between the iVend Retail Database and the SQL Server.
This error occurs when the report is running and is taking a long time to fetch the data, which causes the connection to the SQL Server session to break.
The following screen image illustrates the Timeout Expired error.
