Getting the error "License Has expired. Please contact Vendor" while opening the Management Console.

Case Study:

Getting the error “License Has expired. Please contact Vendor” while opening the Management Console as shown below:

Troubleshooting Steps:

1- Check the license information i.e. whether the concern license key is expired or not by following below:
Start (OS)--> Locate -Cxs license Administration tool --> Choose Return a License on Introduction Page --> Click next --> The Internet -->Click next--> No proxy server (typical)--> Next --> Rehost --> Next --> Choose License key from drop down menu from fulfillment ID on Return a license--> check the Expiry date -->after that click cancel.
2- If the concern license is present in the License administration tool and is not expired then please run the below queries in the HO Database to check if the table value (Vendor String) is correct or not, or the tables might be empty:
select* from CfgTenantInformation
select* from SysSystemInformation
3-If details in step 1 and 2 are Ok then check if the License admin tool is installed in the server where iVend is present or in the server where Database is present. If it’s installed in the iVend server then return the concern License key using Rehost option and uninstall the License admin tool from the server where iVend is present.

Note: Ideally it is recommended to install the License Admin tool in the Database server.

4- Install the License admin tool in the Server where Database is present and activate the concern License key. This might resolve the issue.

Resolution for this case Study:

In this case study, the customer had installed the License administration tool in both servers i.e. iVend Server and Database server.
Also the Expired License was present in the license tool at DB server and New license Was Present in the iVend Server. So the iVend was picking details of old License key which was present in the License tool at DB server. Below steps were followed to resolve the concern:
1- Returned the new license from iVend Server using Re-host option.
2-Uninstalled the License admin tool from iVend server.
3- Returned the Expired License from DB server.
4-Activated the New license key and issue got resolved.
