Getting an error message "The error of Compilation" while previewing a report from Report Manager
Problem:
Getting an error message "The error of Compilation" while previewing a report from Report Manager.
"The error of compilation is found in the "value property of the TransactionKey component: Too many characters in character literal"
Cause:
Incorrect Data Type of Transaction Key
Solution:
Please follow below steps:
Open problematic report in Report Designer.
Click on Dictionary >> Variables
Edit Transaction key variable.
Please verify Data Type Of Transaction key, it should be “String” instead of “int”
No need of Single Quotes in Variable value of Transaction Key
Uncheck checkbox “Read only”
