Failed to connect to license server or operations server

Purpose:

This Article  would cover the possible reason and resolution to fix the below error which can be encountered while login to Management console 

 

 

This error generally occurs when internet connectivity is poor or Firewall is blocking the license server to connect.

Below are some of the common checkpoints that should be reviewed  for this error and this should help to fix the error:

1-Check if proper Internet connectivity in place at server.

2-Check if the firewall has any blockage in the connection to license server.

3-Add the ports (TCP IP 27000 & 27001) on the machine where license manager is installed.

4.Kindly follow the below path and check port in debug log file on the machine where license manager is installed. port should be           enable which is showing in debug log file.

C:\Program Files (x86)\CitiXsys\License Manager\License Server\debug

 

Also create the inbound and outbound rules for the license manager.

 

For creating inbound and outbound rules follow below steps:

a-Open firewall and go to advanced settings as shown below:

b-Click on inbound rules then create new rule as shown below:

c-Select the Rule Type and click next as shown below:

d-Write the Port number and click next as shown below:

e-Select allow the connection and click next as shown below:

f-click next.

g-Write name of the rule and click finish as shown below:

 

The same steps can be followed for creating outbound rules as well.
