Excluding specific item from the Loyalty plan

Environment : 

iVend 6.6 

Problem Description : 

Customer wanted to setup loyalty plan with exclusion of specific item(s)

Scenario : 

Customer has some issue in the Loyality set up they need to award customers who buys from the listed product groups but excludes specific items from the same product groups, as well. Discounted items with more than 5%/10% discount is also excluded from the awards.

Proposed Solution:

1) Exclusion is achieved through the exception rules only and the exception rules, cannot exempt one item from awarding the points.
In that case, it can achieve this by creating new item group like 'Fragrance - Luxery' and don't configure the new item group in the plan.

2) Discounted items with more than 5%/10% discount can be also excluded from the awards by using the exception rules.

3) 'Exclude' checkbox means that system will not consider this line.

Symptoms :N/A.

Resolution/Work Around: 

We have informed to client that exclusion is achieved through the exception rules only and in the exception rules, you cannot exempt one item from awarding the points. In your case, you can achieve this by creating a new item group like 'Fragrance - Luxery' and don't configure the new item group in the plan. Also discounted items with more than 5% /10% discount can be also excluded from the awards by using the exception rules.
