Problem statement :
Error, Root Cause Element missing while updating Configuration Manager.
Proposed solution/workaround :
Check Management Console XML file. Update the file with relevant tags, If missing.
Cause :
Root cause element missing error ideally appears on if ManagementConsoleXML file tags are missing or if blank.
ManagementConsoleXML contains needed XML tags to initiate ManagementConsole EXE operation.
Resolution :
Check the details of file at path: C:\Program Files (x86)\CitiXsys\iVend Retail\ManagementConsole
Open CXSManagementConsole.xml and compare the relevant tags from XML file of same version machine or Store MC which is working fine and accordingly add the missing Tags and Syntax.
Once done, update Connection Manager and should be able to open the Management Console.
