Demostack patch and the role of Patch Update exe

Environment:

iVend 6.6 with SAPB1 9.2

Resolution/Work Around:

Patches in iVend are update by two methods:


  1. Manual copy and replace method to local directory i.e. copy and replace method (this is manual application and is common for all patches except MC,POS and database)

  2. Via the front end i.e. HO MC (Open the iVend MC, Administration -> IT Administration -> Application Patches). This method is used to apply MC,POS and database patches.

  3. Some database patches might require direct script execution on databases.


Recommendations/Suggestion:

iVend demostack is a ready to use app and there's no need for a patch application.
