Deletion of Store from iVend
Product version:
iVend 6.5 Update 6, 6.6 with SAPB1 9.2
Problem Statement:
Delete store correctly. What is the best way to eliminate a store from the Enterprise?
Proposed Solution:
Follow the below steps to delete the store from iVend.
Steps if any:
Clear the Replication from Store to iVend Enterprise
Ask users not work on Store MC or POS
Go to iVend Enterprise --> Retail Configuration--> Select Store which you want to delete--> Click on Delete.
It will also ask about the retail warehouse which is linked with the store if you want to remove it as well.
It will generate replication events for other stores.
Constraints/Scenarios:
It should be noticed that there is no functionality to disable the Store but it can be deleted. Deletion of Store is an irreversible process in iVend Enterprise so need to ensure that all data/events are replicated from Store to Enterprise MC.
If the store is not physically active but if a customer wants to keep it, he will be required to keep active in iVend. It becomes important to keep store ACTIVE in the system else Replication in the entire landscape will start trouble due to the Replication pilling up for the store. iVend Enterprise Replication tables are common for all stores and if any store ( which is physically closed) but active in the system, its Replication should be running.
