Some more details:

Due to this error, the customer was not able to open the Configuration manager at the store, below are more details:
1) This was working fine before at this store.
2) There are no changes done at the server.
3) No patch or windows updates were applied.
4) There is no relevant error in Event viewer logs.
5) Restarting the server did not work.
6) Customer had replaced the ConfigurationManager folder from the working store server to this store server, however, the issue did not resolve.

Resolution

We suggested customer to replace the whole main folder "iVend Retail" rather than the folder "ConfigurationManager" inside this (which had not resolved the issue).
Then customer took a fresh backup of the whole main folder of  "iVend Retail" from the working store server and replaced it here at the problematic store server which resolved the issue and the customer was able to open the configuration manager successfully.

After that, the customer configured the connection manager and replication service with the correct details.
