Changing UI Language for the user

Changing UI Language for the user

Introduction

This document contains information about changing the user language over the Management Console and POS. This gives a perfect balance for the retailers to maintain the different languages amongst the users for the POS/MC location wise. We must ensure that the required language is supported by iVend and has already been released in one of the iVend versions.

Changing this in the POS involves the following steps:

Make sure the Language file is available in the Management Console and POS folders.

Changes made on the POS and Management Console folders will affect the available languages. If a desired language is not available in the base version of iVend, then it will need to be provided by the iVend Retail Development Team.
After completion of above steps, the Administrator has to make the user specific language settings as well in iVend, for every individual employee that will require the specific language.
Go to Human Resources > Select the Employee > Click on [F4 Edit], then select the preferred language for the user and then press [Ok] to save the change made, as demonstrated in the following screen image.

After changing the preferred language for the user, restart the Management Console for the changes to take effect.
Restart the iVend POS in order for the language changes to take effect for the selected user/employee.
Preferred languages can be changed user wise from the Enterprise management console and Store management console depending upon the security roles defined.
