Change cash Customer Name in a transaction

Environment: 

iVend 6.6

 

Problem Statement:    

Change Cash Customer Name at POS during transaction

 

Symptoms: 

The POS user Changes the default Cash customer name to a temporary one using the F4(Sale Edit) button but upon completing the sale, the temporary customer name changes back to the default one.

 

1. A sale is made at the POS with the CASH CUSTOMER default assigned to the store in the SALE screen: 

 


2. The POS operator goes to F4 function (SALE EDIT) and changes the Customer Name to a temporary one: 



3. The operator changes the name for a temporary one and then press OK:


 


4. After that, the new temporary name for CASH CUSTOMER doen't changes and it remains the same as before:


 

 

Resolution/Work Around: 

System is working as designed. Cash customer names cannot be changed during a transaction.

 

After transaction is completed, the receipt prints the fixed name for default cash customer and the temporary name gets lost:
