iVend 6.6 Patch 7989

Problem Description: 

Can Book Voucher Payment balance be saved as retention?

Scenario:

If a customer pays with a book voucher but the voucher value is more than the purchase amount, can the difference (balance not given out) be saved as Retention and close the transaction? 

Example : Total Amount is RM28.90 

Payment via Book Voucher RM30.00

Balance not refund to customer RM1.10

We have tried to proceed with the payment. Apparently an error pop up shows "Maximum amount allowed from this tender is RM3.00 ". Max Amount RM0.00 was set again for this POS. (As shown in the screenshot below)

Symptoms :

Solution:

1) Define the "over tender rate" on Payment type (Voucher) and change due would be adjusted in the same transaction.

Resolution/Work Around: 

We have defined the OverTenderRate on Payment Type Voucher and the amount due to which it can be adjusted on the POS.
