Ability to suspend Layaway transaction

Suspend/Recall transaction option on POS is enhancement to allow the user to suspend the Layaway transactions at POS. The POS user will be able to recall the suspended transaction at later point in time and then complete the transaction.

Benefit

User will be able to suspend the Layaway transactions at POS. They will be able to print the suspended Layaway transaction and also delete suspended transaction at the day end.

Configuration

Configuration options are made available on the Retail Profile of Management Console. User profile can be set to “Print Suspended Transaction” and “Delete Suspended Transaction At Day End”.

The below steps are required to configure the user profile to print the suspended transaction and delete the suspended transaction at day end.

Step 1. 

On the Management Console go to Administration > Retail Configuration > Retail Profile. Click on New to create a retail profile.

Step 2. 

Under the General configuration, select the checkbox for following two option

• Print Suspended Transaction

• Delete Suspended Transaction At Day End

Step 3.

 Click on Ok button to save the Retail Profile configuration.

Step 4. 

On POS create a Layaway transaction and click on Suspend/ Recall button

Step 5.

 Pop up message asking confirmation to suspend transaction appears on the screen. Select Yes to suspend the transaction.

Step 6. 

At another point in time recall the suspended transaction by clicking on the Suspend/ Recall button. Search suspended transaction information.

Step 7. 

Click on the displayed suspended transaction and open the same for making the payment.

Step 8. 

Similarly create a Layaway Transaction. Suspend the transaction using Suspend/ Recall button. At later point in time recall the suspended transaction and click on Void Sale button to delete the transaction. A confirmation pop up message appears to void the current sale transaction. Click on Yes button to delete the transaction.
