Problem Statement:
Below error message coming when tried to update iVend Connection Manager.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.
Symptoms:

Resolution/Work Around:
Create Inbound and Outbound Rules:
Configure the firewall to allow traffic through ports 1433 and 1434, which are used by SQL Server.
Enable TCP/IP Protocol:
Ensure that the TCP/IP protocol is enabled in the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
Configure TCP/IP Ports:
In the SQL Server Configuration Manager, under the IP Address tab, enable the necessary ports (specifically port 1433).
Start SQL Server Browser Service:
If the SQL Server Browser service is disabled, enable and start it to facilitate connections.
Correct Machine Name:
Verify and correct the machine name in iVend Configuration Manager to ensure accurate connections. Once corrected, I tried to update.
